US trip DAY 2 |
Day 2 12 of August
the morning started weaking up to early, but that was good enough to go for a run while leaving Mariajo sleep for an extra hour, and for myself to be able to go for a run while it was still cool enough.
Today the day started going to the beach in Cape Henlopen, a national park with lost of Pines, dunes and virgin beaches. This was the Atlantic, and therefore the water was cooler than Mediterranean. We could see groups of Dolphins going right to left and viceversa, not far away from the shore, 300 m qpprox.
Then we had lunch in Lewis, and visit the town, before going back to Clayton, to get ready for tonihts Dinner at Jeannie´s, including a boat trip at Lake Como. Basically Jeannie's house is by one small call called Como. (Just like George Clonnie's but in a different state) and neighbours have boats to go around, specially on night like today´s (full moon). Jennie also has built a bar in the garage, which is really good, and it is full of signs that says It's 5 o'clock somewhere (happy hour!!!!)
We had a great time, having dinner, a boat trip, a drink or 2, and nice companion, By far last night biggers start was a 2 metter hight poster of Alan Jackson, apparently a great Country singer.
But the start of country songs of the moment are "Country Girl shake it for me" and "You and tequila". We've been only 3 days in the country and in a couple of days I am sure I would know the lirics and could sing it as well as I could do "the blackberry" that is "La Zarzamora" (sorry guys Spanish joke).
